Save the date as the second season of the hit Thai series “Girl From Nowhere” will finally have its global premiere on May 7.

Netflix announced this along with the release of the series’ teaser trailer and the special guests who will appear in each episode of the new season.

Among them are Teeradon Supapunpinyo, Penpak Sirikul, Patricia Good, Chanya McClory, Bhumibhat Thavornsiri, Pataravarin Timkul, Chutima Teepanart, Phantira Pipityakorn, Ploy Sornarin, and Yarinda Bunnag.

According to Netflix, “In Season 2, Nanno tackles even bigger social injustices that take her beyond school grounds. But, this time, she is no longer the only vigilante around as another enigmatic girl follows in her shadow, forcing her to face her greatest challenge yet.”

Girl From Nowhere is a Thai series originally telecasted by GNN 25. Still, considering the international popularity and demand, the series has now been taken over by the lord of OTTs -Netflix.

The first season of the Thai mystery anthology, released in 2018, gained traction during the quarantine period and was well-received by Netflix viewers both in its home country and internationally for its unconventional storytelling and candid take on today’s school society.

It was premiered in 2018; the mystery thriller series follows a girl named Nanno (played by Chicha Amatayakul), a transfer student who arrives at a new school to expose the atrocities on campus, from bullying incidents to faculty misconduct and secrets between classmates.

The second season will feature stories inspired by real-life events and continue Nanno’s adventures to avenge the victims. Production for the show has already begun in Bangkok.

Be ready because, for sure, it will be intense and another bloody season to look out for.

“Girl From Nowhere” season 2 will be exclusively available on Netflix.
