The drama actress and model Soo Yoo-Jung was found dead on Saturday, January 23rd, in Seoul, South Korea, at the age of 26 years old.

The news was confirmed by her representatives, the Sublime Artist Agency. They announced it on January 25, “Song Yoo- jung suddenly died on the 23rd”.

However, the agency did not state the cause of her death.

A statement indicated that a funeral was “held quietly,” according to family wishes. According to a report from Soompi, a funeral procession was taken on the 25th of January, a news website dedicated to K-pop and K-dramas.

The late actress had signed with Sublime Artist Agency in 2019, representing Parasite actor Song Kang-ho and singer Jung Ji- hoon (aka Rain), among others, as she prepared to take the next step in her career.

Song started her career as a cosmetics brand model for cosmetics company Estée Lauder and began her acting career through MBC, a weekend drama “Golden Rainbow” in 2013. She had appeared in numerous shows such as in MBC’s “Make Your Wish,” in 2014, KBS2’s “School 2017,” in 2017, and web drama “Dear My Name,” as the main character.

The former actress had an appearance of the Korean Group iKON’s music video of their hit song “Goodbye Road” in 2018. In 2020 she appeared in Standing Egg’s “Friend to Lover,” music video, and NIve’s “How Do I.”

She also was an advocate for people with disabilities.

As the news spread like wildfire, fans then shifted their attention to the actress’s last and final Instagram post, flooding the comment section their condolences and prayers.

Her wake had been set up, and the Seoul Medical Center funeral hall and her funeral ceremony are scheduled yesterday afternoon (Monday, January 25th).

Her final resting is located at the Seoul Memorial Park.
