“STUPID!” BARBIE IMPERIAL SLAMS PERSON SHARING A FAKE NUDE PHOTO

Kapamilya actress Barbie Imperial on Monday, February 1, slammed the people spreading her edited photo, making her look naked.

Imperial, a former Pinoy Big Brother housemate and who starred in the hit television series Araw Gabi, posted on her Instagram account her response to the circulating fake nude photo of her. On the post, she showed her original photo, where she’s wearing a yellow swimsuit, and on the second photo is the edited version, where the black marking was used to cover her swimsuit.

“Grabe, sobrang stupid naman. You really think I’ll post a photo like this? Sa lahat ng nagshashare nito, ANG LALA NYO. And sa lahat ng nagbabash and madaming sinasabi sakin dahil sa picture na to, ANG TANGA LANG,” she wrote on Instagram about the edited version of the photo.

“Wala na ba kayong magawa kundi mag edit ng photos ng mga babae at gawing nude photo? Paisa lang po, dahil nakakagigil talaga yung gumawa nito,”

“Ilang babae pa ang magiging biktima ng mga makikitid nyong utak?! Itigil nyo na, wala kayong ambag,” she ended.

Imperial is just the latest victim of this trend, where a female celebrity’s image is edited to make it appear like they’re nude. Just last week, January 26, Maris Racal and Sue Ramirez also are victims of the spread of edited photos to make it appear that they were nude. Like Imperial, the two actresses were wearing bikinis.

ABS-CBN and Star Magic, which handles Sue and Maris’ careers, have threatened legal action against those behind the spread of the fake photo.

Last year, former Miss Universe Catriona Gray filed a complaint at the National Bureau of Investigation against the persons who uploaded her fake lewd photos online. The bureau has yet to announce if they have found the perpetrators of the crime.
