LISA SOBERANO TO VOICE THE FILIPINO VERSION OF NETFLIX ANIMATED SERIES TRESE

As the world is celebrating March for International Women’s Day, Netflix Philippines announces a sweet treat for all Pinoy fans.
Liza Soberano is chosen to voice Alexandra Trese for the Filipino version of the Series.
In the Netflix Facebook post for the official announcement, it says, “May the strong women always lend a voice to one another, especially when there’s an aswang or two around. Happy International Women’s Day,”
Lisa takes on her Instagram account to express her excitement for her latest project, as she is named to be the Pilipino voice for the Series Trese.
Trese is an animated series originally in comics by Budjette Tan and KaJO Baldisimo. It is based on the Philippine folklore story of a mythical creature hiding with the humans.

The Series is set in Manila, and a detective named Alexandra Trese follows and fights and underworld creatures.
A self-profess comic fan Jay Olivia simultaneously says it is crucial to find the perfect voice for Trese. Having Lisa do the Pinoy version is more notable and memorable for him and his whole team.
Pretty Little Liar star Shay Mitchell was also named to voice Alexandra in the Series’s English version. The actress shares, “I’m so excited to be a part of a unique and amazing project like Trese, and to voice a character as brilliant as Alexandra Trese. Philippine folklore is rich and fascinating, and I am thrilled to be a part of the team bringing this story to life.”
Liza Soberano shows her excitement through her Instagram post, saying, “It’s an honor to be the voice of an iconic character such as Alexandra Trese. I’m a huge fan of Budjette and KaJO’s award-winning ‘Trese’ comics. Maraming salamat! Excited na ako!”
