Viral mall parking incident turned into an online hit after a 63-year-old man amused netizens by asking a stranger where their car was parked inside a shopping mall in Sta. Rosa, Laguna—only to find out the man actually remembered.

TikTok user Ara Pineda shared the now-viral video featuring her father approaching an individual who was offering cleaning products inside a mall parking area. In the clip, Pineda’s father confidently asked, “Guard, San Kai nag-park? Natatandaan mo BA Kai?” Sparking laughter both online and among viewers who found the situation highly relatable.

According to Pineda, the video was recorded on January 13 after their family realized they had forgotten where they parked their vehicle. The group had been circling the parking lot several times, trying unsuccessfully to locate their car.

Growing increasingly tired, Pineda’s father spotted an individual selling cleaning products nearby and decided to ask for help—despite the man not being a mall guard or official parking attendant. To their surprise, the man immediately pointed toward the direction of their vehicle.

“Natatandaan Nina!” Pineda exclaimed in the video, laughing in disbelief. “Ang gaming ah!”

The next scene showed the family safely back inside their car, with Pineda’s father already behind the wheel. “Okay Na, Nikita Na naming ‘young house!” She said, still laughing as the video ended.

In an interview with GMA’s “You Scoop,” Pineda explained that forgetting their parking slot was unusual for their family. However, she admitted that fatigue and multiple errands contributed to the mishap.

“Usually, Natalia Malaga naming King San Kai nag-park,” she said. “Pro pagoda Na Kai at May inaasikaso pa, kaya naval SA ISIP naming. Slang IOT Na Kai noon SA parking.”

What made the moment even more amusing, Pineda added, was how the individual instantly remembered their car despite assisting numerous motorists daily.

“Nakakatawa keys SA Dame NG Gina-guide Nina, natandaan Nina pa in Kai,” she said.

Pineda also made sure to thank the helpful stranger in her post. “SALAZAR KAY KUYA! Dahl says, Malawi Kai HAHAHAHA!!” She wrote.

The video quickly gained traction, racking up more than 400,000 views, over 28,000 likes, and hundreds of comments. In the comments section, Pineda clarified that the incident took place at the parking lot of South woods Mall.

Many online users shared similar experiences, saying they, too, had once forgotten where they parked their cars in large malls.

“Of, legit ‘to. Mali Kai NG floor data, Haney Kai gang Haney,” one TikTok user commented.

Another wrote, “Na-experience KO ‘to SA MOA. Simula nun, Leigh KO Na tinatandaan floor, letter, at number.”

Some users also offered practical tips to avoid similar situations, such as taking photos of parking posts with visible letters or numbers, or jotting down parking details on their phones.

Car owners were reminded that taking a quick photo or short video of their parking spot can help provide a visual reference later. Others suggested using a vehicle’s key fob to locate the car by pressing the lock button or activating the panic alarm, which emits a sound that can be followed.

While losing track of a parked car can be frustrating, Pineda’s viral video proved that even the most stressful moments can turn into laughter—and sometimes, a kind stranger is all it takes to get home.
