Olivia Rodrigo gives her fans more of a taste of Sour, her upcoming debut album, with a new single “good 4 u” out on Friday (May 14).

Olivia is pictured in a high school cheerleader outfit next to a trophy on the cover art. After posting a photo dressed in the same outfit a week ago with no caption or background and, in true Taylor Swift fashion, leaving fans to put together the clues, the photo confirmed fans’ speculations of a new single.

The High School Musical: The Musical: The Series superstar will be performing the single on Saturday Night Live May 15, will also make it the debut television performance of “good 4 u.”

After the singer/songwriter officially announced the release date of her album, SOUR, she’s been nonstop since! All eyes were on her, anticipating the date to come.

On May 12, the singer unveiled a trailer for the album on her YouTube channel, and it features a sneak peek from her upcoming third single, “good 4 u,”.

The trailer shows us that “good 4 u” will fall into the pop-punk category, with rhythmic drums and guitars stealing the spotlight.

The trailer also includes snippets from Olivia’s time working on the album in the studio with collaborator Dan Nigro and the photoshoot for the album cover.

“good 4 u” is the third single to be released, following ‘Drivers License’ and second single ‘Deja Vu’ ahead of her much-awaited debut album, which is due May 21.

This will be Olivia’s first time performing as SNL’s musical guest, and she got here by writing authentic songs about emotions she knows all too well.
