Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘good 4 u’ Song and Music Video Now Out!. Singer and songwriter Olivia Rodrigo has unveiled a new song, “good 4 u,” on Friday (May 14), and the music video has also been released!

On “good 4 u,” Rodrigo delivered an upbeat and dynamic pop-rock track, which was countered by her lyrics’ biting honesty.

In the “good 4 u” music video, Olivia gives us a big taste of nostalgia while dressed as a cheerleader and dancing in a high school gym. She eventually goes to a store to buy gas and burns a house down!

“good 4 u” takes heavy inspiration from Paramore and other beloved pop-punk bands, with sarcasm-laden verses, addressed at a former flame.

While the High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star might have given you ballads before, with her new song, she’s gone fully pop-punk; the angry track is evocative of Hayley Williams on “Misery Business” in the best possible way.

Artist Petra Collins directed the new song, pays homage to 90s to 2000s cult horror and dark comedy films.

On May 15, Rodrigo will make her musical guest debut on Saturday Night Live, ahead of the release of her album in May. The episode will be hosted by Keegan-Michael Key.

Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘good 4 u’ Song and Music Video Now Out!. The official music video of “good 4 u” was uploaded on YouTube on Friday and has reached over a million views in just a span of several hours.

“good 4 u” is the third track released from Rodrigo’s highly anticipated debut album SOUR, following the wildly popular “drivers license,” which spent eight weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and her top 10 hits “Deja Vu.”

SOUR, Rodrigo’s highly awaited debut album, shows the immense strength of her raw self-expression, poetic specificity, and ability to depict complex emotions in high-impact pop songs.
