Rico Yan lives on even after 19 years of being dead. The matinee idol, model, TV host, film and television actor, Ricardo Carlos Castro Yan, or publicly known as Rico Yan, is a Star Circle Batch 1 alumnus in November of 1995, now called ABS-CBN’s Star Magic.
Yan is best remembered in his portrayal in Madrasta and gain his mark as an actor through his projects.
Some of his highly-rated television shows and remarkable films are Gimik, Mara Clara, Mula Sa Puso, Paano Ang Puso Ko, Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay, Gimik: The Reunion, Mula sa Puso: The Movie, and Got 2 Believe.
Yan’s carrier in showbiz was one of the most celebrated as he is paired with Judy Ann Santos and Claudine Barretto in the prime of their careers.
Rico Yan seven years showbiz life is short in number but a tale of forever to those who knew him. His wake and burial parade is set to be a record-breaker. An estimated 10 000 people attended his last funeral, and Rico’s burial was ranked No. 6, “List of Most Attended Funerals in Philippine History”.
Rico Yan is rank number 5 on the list of “The Kings of Star Cinema” in 2014, a citation for the late actor twelve years after his death.
